Kendra Sprinkling: Executive Director

Music, music, music - She played in groups for 25 years opening for B.B. King, Martha Reeves, Taj Mahal, the Doobie Brothers and Slade. Along the way there were lots of studio sessions, jingles, backup vocal work and then musical theatre. When asked to perform in a show in 1985 in Vancouver called Starry Night by David Harrison (the revenue developer for the Arts Club) which was to be a fund raiser for AIDS she jumped at the chance. A 12 year stay in San Francisco had been an eye opener about this mysterious disease that was wiping out segments of the population. David Harrison succumbed to AIDS himself in 1995 and asked Kendra to carry on producing and directing the show. Since that time Kendra has produced over 100 events for "the cause". The Shooting Stars Foundation came into being in 1995 and since that time have added Coast Capital Jazzilla, Fit For A Queen, Motown Meltdown and Gambado! Dinner and Auction to the roster of events produced annually to raise funds for direct service AIDS agencies.
