Ryan Resch:
Chair
Ryan Resch is a
consultant with Towers Perrin's Executive Compensation and Rewards
Practice in Vancouver. Recent projects include executive compensation, base
pay and incentive plan design, market pricing, job evaluation, and
compensation surveys. Ryan's background includes experience in both the
specialty retail and hospitality sectors. His expertise includes strong
foundations in analytical, research, and technical skills. Ryan holds a
Master of Business Administration specializing in Management and
Organizational Studies from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of
Commerce specializing in Entrepreneurial Management from Royal Roads
University.

Howard Reich: Treasurer
A Partner at Manning Elliott Chartered Accountants, Howard
facilitates the Business Development Unit that helps clients improve the
profitability and value of their businesses. Howard joined Manning
Elliott as a Partner in June 1999, after having been a partner at BDO
Dunwoody for two years and an employee there for another eight years
prior. In the seventies, Howard worked in the Los Angeles office of Peat
Marwick Mitchell and in private industry as a CFO and Internal Audit
Manager for two Fortune 500 publicly listed companies. His thirty years
of extensive business experience has given Howard a unique approach to
helping our clients grow their businesses by utilizing the resource
tools of our Ran One affiliation that guarantees value to clients.
Howard is a seasoned seminar and meeting leader in the area of business
development. After graduating in 1973 with a Bachelor’s degree in
Business Administration from the University of Florida, Howard went on
to receive his Certified Public Accountant’s designation from the States
of Florida and California. He received his Chartered Accountant’s
designation in 1983, and has since completed training in Commercial
Mediation. When Howard is not at the office, he enjoys long-distance
running, dog training, karaoke and traveling. He even steps into the
spotlight now and again to perform stand-up comedy.
Jen
Lund: Secretary
Jen Lund has 15 years of
experience working in human resources, organizational development, and
change management. Currently, she operates an organizational
development consulting practice. Her passions include organizational
assessment, culture development, and system development and integration.
Jen’s comprehension of organizations and group dynamics was gained
through her experience in HR/OD management in diverse settings;
including the manufacturing, professional service, government and social
service sectors in Canada, the U.S., and New Zealand. This was enriched
by several years with a Vancouver based HR consulting company. Jen holds
a Master of Arts in Industrial Relations, is a certified Senior
Professional in Human Resources, and is certified to administer and
interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Outside of work, Jen’s
passions include spending time with her husband and two children,
creating culinary delights, listening to the blues, and running with her
dog.
D. Roger Millen:
Past Chair & Director
David Roger Millen holds a Degree in Agriculture from the
University of Melbourne, Australia and initially worked in Tasmania as a
Research Agronomist. After arriving in Canada he worked as an Account
Executive and Financial Consultant with Merrill Lynch & Co in Vancouver,
and later in marketing & sales in business equipment, culminating in a
Sales Manager position for a telecommunications firm. For the last ten
years he has owned and operated Sterling Limousines. Community service
has included twenty years of volunteer activities with the Vancouver
Symphony – Member of the Volunteer Executive, “Endeavour” Board Member
and Beneficiary Chairman for the Symphony, Chair of Symphony Casino
Fundraising, Corporate Giving Campaign and innumerable and varied
fund-raising activities. Other community involvement has included
corporate giving campaigns with the Vancouver Aquarium and the Canadian
Special Olympics, fund-raising for the Vancouver Pride Society and Board
Member of the Shooting Stars Foundation
Jodi Smith: Director
Jodi Smith, executive director of JLS Entertainment has been
working in the entertainment industry in various capacities for over
twelve years. Throughout the years, she has produced live events,
several music videos, is involved in artist management, entertainment
coordination and has been a freelance publicist for musical concerts,
dance, special events and theatre. Jodi has been the Entertainment
Coordinator at the Pacific National Exhibition for six years, the Talent
Coordinator/Publicist for the Harmony Arts Festival for one year and the
Entertainment Manager at the Alcan Dragon Boat Festival for three years.
JLS Entertainment's past and present publicity clients include Festival
Vancouver, The West Coast Music Awards, North American Folk Alliance,
The Storytelling Festival, The opening of the Scotia Bank Dance Centre,
Ravi Shankar & Anoushka Shankar (Orpheum), Moving Into Dance Mophatong
(From South Africa), Toronto Dance Theatre, UHF (Ulrich Henderson
Forbes), Barney Bentall, Babe Gurr and battery opera.
