Artist Bio: Highly acclaimed sculptor Toni Cross de Chavannes is a self taught Artist and the passion she brings to her creations is a reflection of her strong sense of the Spirit. With the eye of a storyteller and the soul of a gypsy, Toni always sees things anew allowing her to capture that -special something- so sought after by so many others in sculpture. Toni began sculpting in Vancouver, Canada, since returning to Australia Toni has become a very active member of the Gold Coast Society of Sculptures. The last few years Toni has moved into exclusively Bronze, Copper, Granite, Resin and Aluminum Sculpture and recently these have been her mediums of choice.She is a proud family member of the famous impressionist, Pierre Puvis de Chavannes - the youngest artist to have works hung in The Louvre in Paris.

Golden Tutu      

One of a kind bowl from Sol Maya's sunrays collection. He has used a combination of cobalt blue, iris blue and iris gold to create a fanciful, functional artwork. Inside the bowl is a melding of the gold and blue that gives a feeling of molten precious metal. Place a small tea light in the centre of this bowl and it will light up a room and create magical reflections.

LOVERS      

Every sculpture at Stoneage Art Company is hand carved by the Shona people of Zimbabwe. No two pieces are the same and each piece is therefore an original. The Shona people have been sculpting for generations and only in the 1950's did this movement become more recognized by the Western world. This sculpture is titled "Lovers", the stone type is Soapstone and the carver is Daniel Chidoti. This particular piece is 22 inches high with a width of 13 inches. It is a unique sculpture that shows the polished and unpolished part of the stone. A biography of the artist is attached for your information.

Vox Caprae ( Voice Of The Goat )      

Vox Caprae is made of big leaf maple and ebony. It measures 4 1/2" tall by 3 1/2" diameter when closed. Each member of the Vox series is a hidden box that looks like one of Art Liestman's signature hollow vessels when closed. The lid is hollow but has a ('floor'). Small magnets are used to hold the lid to the body. This series is called "vox" since it's a vase/box - when closed it looks like one of Arts hollow pieces but it is a hidden box.
