Joan-e is the creation of Entertainer Robert Kaiser. Joan-E hosted Vancouver’s longest running drag show, “The Feather Boa Show”, for over thirteen years at the Odyssey Nightclub on Sunday nights. A contributor for V-rag, she continues to do film and television work and is a past nominee for the “Leo Award”. Joan-E’s charity work, including “Bingo for Life”, has resulted in a U.S. Congressional Award and the “Golden Jubilee Award of Merit from Queen Elizabeth II.
DMS Entertainer of the Year 2012, Sienna Blaze has been busy performing at various venues around the Lower Mainland. The experiences under her belt on the international stage as a dancer and circus performer resulted in the glamour, creative edge, and wickedly rocked out style and choreography of her performances. She is excited to share the stage with Vancouver’s finest and be a part of this years Fit for a Queen. Get ready boys and girls... its Sienna Blaze!!
Coco is definitely one of Vancouver’s most established drag stars. A past Entertainer of the Year, Coco wows audiences with her high-energy dance moves, and her electrifying beauty. Whether she’s doing Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston, or Toni Braxton, Coco will fool and woo you with her stage charisma and flawless impersonations. Coco has performed in Starry Night and numerous local fundraisers and is a guest artist in some of the city’s hottest shows.
With over 20 years of performing experience (she started when she was 6...you can stop laughing now), Devana brings fun and creativity to the River Rock stage. Anyone who has had the privilege of witnessing one of Hope Diamond’s signature live performances knows the thrill of watching true talent. A consummate professional, Hope has performed on stages, big and small, for many years now. Always a crowd favourite, Miss Diamond’s inimitable stage moves have thrilled thousands. And no, this is not simply a beautiful face mouthing the words to a compelling song. It’s style, it’s movement, it’s comedy, it’s fashion, it’s a damn fine coiffure – it’s Hope Diamond!
This girl is truly one of Vancouver's premiere entertainers! Best known for her brilliant impersonations of Bette Midler, Liza Minnelli and Dolly Parton, Mandy is a frequent guest performer on this city's show circuit. A past Empress (twice!) and Entertainer of the Year, Mandy has dedicated herself for over two decades to fundraising for numerous charities and organizations. Kiki Lawhore has proven to be an outrageous and notorious Drag Queen, who is not afraid to show her colorful side. She has performed on some of Vancouver's biggest stages including the River Rock Show Theatre, Celebrities and the Odyssey Night Club. Trained in classical ballet and musical theatre, she has held the titles of Imperial Crown Princess 39 and the 30th Queen of Hearts, titles that raise monies through the Dogwood Monarchist Society. She created and produced her own show Christmas with the Queens. Her role models include Lady Bunny, RuPaul, Divine, Karen Walker and Lady Gaga. Kiki Lawhore was very excited to be a part of La Cage aux Folles at the Vancouver Playhouse.
One of Vancouver’s premier gender illusionists, Symone has been entertaining the masses from Vancouver to Paris and beyond for almost 2 decades . A past Entertainer of the Year whose dinner show "Dressing on the Side" sold out for five years, Symone has graced the stages of the world. In Vancouver she has played the Stanley Theatre, Vancouver Art Gallery, Plaza of Nations, the Westin Resort and was the opening act for INXS during one of their Vancouver Shows. She has hosted several fundraisers such as Fashion Cares Vancouver and the VPS Pride Ball and is a featured columnist for LOV Magazine. Tonight she is pleased to captivate, entertain and perform for you!
Born from the bass of the music and the lights of the clubs, Syren is Vancouver's reigning Club Queen. Having debuted in 2007 Syren has been one of the most sought after performers for shows that need a little more edge. Working with some of the best dancers and choreographers in Vancouver, her shows are always full of incredible dancing, amazing costumes and the DIVA herself. Being awarded the CHANGES award for 2010 for "Changing the Face of Drag in Vancouver", Syren has graced the stages of every major event in Vancouver including the RAPTURE Pride Events, Release Saturdays, Dollicious Wednesdays, "Feather Boa", and opened for big acts such as Kristine W and Ultra Nate.
Tatiana has the stature and grace of royalty, and the stage presence of a Broadway Diva. She began her drag career in 2004, after a career as a classically trained dancer with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, The Alberta Ballet and Dance Saskatchewan. She has performed across North America, and had the privilege to raise funds for local charities in every city she has called home. Tatiana is thrilled to be making her second appearance in Fit for a Queen.
Vivian Von BrokenHymen
VIVIAN VON BROKENHYMEN enjoys Acting up a storm, Dancing in the dark & Singing in the rain. She has performed with both "Gateway Theater", "Arts Club Theatre", "Dunbar Musical Theater" and (TUTS) in numerous Musical Theater and Dance roles. VIVIAN held the titles of "Imperial Crown Princess 27", "Miss Odyssey II" ,"Entertainer Of The Year 2004" & "EMPRESS XXXIV" for "The Dogwood Monarchist Society" VIVIAN has taken some time off of performing recently and is currently teaching children Dance & Chorography at The Kitsilano Figure Skating Club and is loving every minute!! VIVIAN is excited to be returning to the River Rock Stage and to support the Shooting Stars Foundation!!
Growing up with over twelve siblings in her parents traveling European circus and sideshow set Vera Way up for a life of performance. She learned at an early age how to stand out in a crowd and that has followed her through life and onto the stage. Popularly known as “East Van’s Sweetheart,” Vera has wowed on stages around the city in shows like Wiggle, Apocalypstick, Queerbash and the annual Diorama Party. Also called the “Queen of Paper” because of her frequent use of elaborate paper sets and puppets, Vera always brings her unique charm and style to the table and is honoured and excited to be a part of the show in her first appearance in “Fit For a Queen!”
Iona Whipp was born in a van on a Saskatchewan highway not so many years ago. Since then, she has skyrocketed to performe extraordinaire. Iona has a deep love for the stage and 11 years of musical theatre training behind her. Last year her role in the successful run of "La Cage Aux Folles" at The Vancouver Playhouse was added to her resume along with "A Chorus Line" at Royal City Musical Theatre which also met with rave reviews. Iona is a model, actress, singer but dance has been, and always will be her true passion
